Kettering Health Hamilton, formerly Fort Hamilton Hospital, has been serving the Hamilton community for over 90 years.
Leads the way to better health in the Butler County area, serving patients from Fairfield, Oxford, Cincinnati, Middletown and surrounding communities.
KH Hamilton offerings include maternity, emergency, the most advanced wound healing in Butler County, and a range of outpatient services.
In 2020, KH Hamilton received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.
Full-service, community hospital licensed for 203 beds.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Reports to the Network Director of Oncology Clinical Services. Responsible for day-to-day operation of the outpatient oncology centers. Manages a team of Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and other ancillary team support. Provides leadership, clinical practice guidelines, staff development and evaluation of patient services. Manages staff and financial performance. Maintains patient oriented, customer service environment.

Minimum Work Experience5 years minimum of nursing experience2 years minimum of Oncology and/or Supervisor experience requiredACHC/accreditation survey experience preferredEpic EMR experience preferred

Required SkillsLeadership skills, management principles, problem-solving process, change theory, effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff, physicians and peers.

Promotes and maintains patient safety and safe work environment.Practices cultural diversity and confidentiality.Manages day to day operations including staff based on volumes and acuitiesDemonstrates knowledge of and compliance to ONS and KHN chemotherapy/biotherapy guidelines and departmental/network policies and proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of drugs, therapies and treatment given on unit.Advocates for staff and patients.Utilizes EMR for scheduling documentation, report generation and auditing.Develops and Implements performance and process improvement projects and monitors and maintains quality metrics.Maintains accreditation requirements for unit.Participates in Oncology Service line initiatives, meetings, committees and related hospital/network committees/meetings.Responds to patient concerns and tracks and reports incidents.Perform management functions related to HR activities such as hiring/firing, corrective actions, attendance, competencies and educational needs.Maintains the department finances, budget, and productivity.
