Introduction

As a(an) LPN Medical Unit you can be a part of change. Schedule: Full Time Nights, 36 hours per week, 7p-7a, working every other Friday and Saturday night with rotating holidays.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN/LVN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.

What you will do in this role:

Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
Perform lab and procedural tests within the LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.

What qualifications you will need:

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
IV Therapy must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse or Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN) program
Current New Hampshire LPN license or valid compact state

Situated in Portsmouth, NH, Portsmouth Regional Hospital is a premier 234-bed acute care facility that offers exceptional healthcare services to the Seacoast region of Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. This hospital is the sole ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center on the Seacoast of New Hampshire, making it an essential resource for the community. It boasts the regions only comprehensive heart and vascular program, along with 24/7 comprehensive neurosurgical and stroke clot retrieval programs for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes. Portsmouth Regional Hospital is owned by HCA Healthcare, a respected healthcare provider that runs three hospitals, an ambulatory surgery center, two freestanding emergency rooms, an urgent care center, and 46 physician practices in New Hampshire.
