Day to day as a Director of Nursing (DON)

As the Director of Nursing at Coastal Health & Rehabilitation, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and directing all functions of the nursing department. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient nursing care to our residents. You'll lead a team of compassionate professionals, fostering a culture that prioritizes safety, empathy, and excellence.

Your innovative problem-solving skills will help in shaping nursing practices, enhancing patient outcomes, and maintaining a collaborative environment that supports both staff and patients alike. Does this sound like you?

To thrive as the Director of Nursing at Coastal Health & Rehabilitation, you must possess an active RN license and demonstrate proven leadership abilities honed through at least two years of experience in nursing services administration. Strong organizational skills are essential, allowing you to effectively plan and direct nursing functions while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Your ability to communicate clearly and compassionately will enhance collaboration within your team and foster trust with residents and their families.

Proficiency in nursing software and tools is also critical, enabling you to streamline processes and improve patient care delivery. Furthermore, your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities will be key in navigating challenges, ensuring that our nursing department excels in providing the highest quality of care.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

Active RN license.
Must have proven leadership ability with (2) years of experience in nursing services administration.
