Description

Oneida Health is seeking a full-time, experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing primary care network, which includes eleven board-certified physicians and seven APPs. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience and be a self-starter who can “hit the ground running.” Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with one remote admin day. There is no call requirement. This position is located at our Family Care office in Oneida.

Compensation: $98,500 to $135,000 per year based on experience

What You’ll be Great At:

Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans.
Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR).
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate.
Evaluating and reporting to physicians any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner license.
Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff.
Provide safe, ethical care and health education to patients and their families, instilling confidence in patients and acting as their advocates.
