Here, we welcome qualified clinical team members with or without pediatric experience. Our Transition to Practice Programs for Adult to Pediatric Nursing offers specialized training and education to support you in transitioning from adult to pediatric nursing. Hourly Range: $36.43 to $48.70 per hour
Eligible Incentives
- Up to $4,400 in relocation benefits (100 mi. or greater) for qualifying positions
Hours per week: 3-12hr shifts per week (Full Time)
Shift: Rotating and Night Shifts Available
Qualifications
- EDUCATION – Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- EXPERIENCE –One year nursing experience.
- EQUIVALENCY – Applicants with an Associate's Degree in Nursing who agree to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BSN) within 3 years from their start date may be considered.
- LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S) – Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire.
Acute Care Units
Day in the Life: Courtney, Med Surg RN
- Surgical Unit: This 72-bed unit encompasses three service lines (Neurology, Orthopedics and Rehabilitation) and 14 sub-specialties. Patients are treated for trauma, solid-organ transplant, burns, general surgery, plastics, urology, colorectal, bariatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, epilepsy monitoring, orthopedics and rehabilitation and receive state-of-the-art interventions and treatments, as well as specialized nursing care.
- Hematology/Oncology Unit: With 48 inpatient beds and 16 infusion rooms, this unit can service over 1,000 bone marrow transplants. Patients include infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, blood disorders, cellular therapy primarily for cancer not responsive to conventional therapies, as well as immunodeficiency or selected genetic disorders. It also services medical and surgical overflow. We care for patients with a non-malignant diagnosis, experimental therapeutics and those requiring hospitalization for radioactive treatments.
- Medical Unit: This unit has 48 beds and serves children with a variety of medical conditions specializing in digestive health, renal impairment, infectious diseases, behavioral health, endocrine and metabolic disorders and immune deficiencies. The unit also cares for patients with an acute medical need with a behavioral health concern (e.g., eating disorder, suicide attempt/ideation, conversion disorder).
- Pulmonary Unit: This unit has 48 beds and is associated with Children’s Colorado’s Breathing Institute . This unit cares for pediatric patients with a variety of conditions such as pulmonary (asthma, bronchiolitis, croup, pneumonia, pertussis, cystic fibrosis, bronchomalacia, chronic ventilation status) and airway conditions (tracheostomy status, airway anomalies, tracheal malacia and atresia, airway reconstruction, and tonsil/adenoidectomy).
- Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit: The Level 10 East Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is a brand new, 19-bed acute care unit specifically designed to provide exceptional rehabilitation care to pediatric patients. In addition to providing inpatient rehabilitation services, 10 East also serves pediatric patients who are technology dependent, such as those with a tracheostomy and/or ventilator. The unit includes multiple gyms, therapy spaces, a classroom, an activity room, and other areas to facilitate patient rehabilitation and development. The large multidisciplinary care team will consist of nurses, clinical assistants, inpatient service specialists, providers, therapists, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, child life specialists, case managers, and more.
