Clinical Educator Nursing – Behavioral Health

Inova Health System’s Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a Clinical Educator Nursing to join our team supporting Behavioral Health. This role is full-time, M-F, typical office hours (with an occasional off shift variable night).

Responsibilities

The Clinical Educator Nursing conducts educational assessments to identify learning needs using standards of specialty nursing practices, clinical pathways and guidance from nursing strategic initiatives. Assesses, designs/plans, implements and evaluates educational programming for growth in knowledge, skills, practice and attitudes. Creates educational experiences for both new and experienced team members through integration of theoretical knowledge, evidence-based principles, and clinical nursing expertise. Requirements

Hours: full-time, M-F, typical office hours (with an occasional off shift variable night)
Location: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, HealthCare, Education and/or other relevant field.
Experience: 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in designated specialty; 3 months of experience serving as preceptor
Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state RN License
