About the Job:

Under the general direction of the CNO/ACNO, the WCS RN coordinates treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and outcomes for patients throughout the facility.
Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support services, dressing selections, and other therapies.
Acts as the resource person for physicians and clinical staff for wound management. Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in the quality improvement plan for the facility.
Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. BSN preferred. Diploma or transcripts are required upon hire.
Graduate of an accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Program. If not a graduate of an accredited program, must complete within two years of hire.

Requirements:

RN TN License
2 years of nursing experience (Required)
Wound Care (Preferred)
BLS certification (Red Cross or AHA)
ACLS certification (Preferred)
Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) (Required within one year of eligibility)
