The Internal Medicine Department provides comprehensive medical services to adults. As RN Team Lead, you will coordinate and oversee daily operations, workflows, delivery of care and caregiver education as needed. Some of your responsibilities will include direct patient support, while others are more clerical and administrative in nature. This position offers a unique opportunity to enhance both your nursing and management skills while encouraging team growth, facilitating a welcoming patient experience and bettering your community.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 5:30PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Provide professional nursing care to a specific patient population in a variety of ambulatory settings.
- Assist in providing clinical oversight to assigned caregivers and patients to ensure quality and safe care.
- Coordinate and resolve daily operational issues.
- Perform duties of an RN Ambulatory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and patient safety initiatives.
- Facilitate orientation, teaching, coaching and mentoring of assigned caregivers.
- Assist in preparing department specific education.
- Participate in quality initiatives, process improvement and research activities to improve patient outcomes, experience and safety.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Two years of recent RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Ability to travel to Cleveland Clinic regional locations
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous Charge Nurse or supervisory experience

Physical Requirements:
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
