Seneca Place, a leading senior living community under new leadership by Oakdale Seniors Alliance, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Wound Care/Infection Prevention RN to join our team! In this exempt position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by implementing and overseeing best practices in wound care and infection prevention.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans for residents with chronic or acute wounds.
Implement and monitor effective wound healing strategies, utilizing a variety of dressings and therapies.
Educate staff on proper wound care techniques and best practices.
Design, implement, and regularly evaluate a comprehensive infection control program for the facility.
Conduct audits and surveillance to identify and address potential infection risks.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure the highest quality of care and compliance with regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based wound care protocols.

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 2 years of experience in wound care management, preferably in a long-term care setting.
Certification in wound care (CWOCN or similar) is a strong plus.
Demonstrated knowledge of infection control principles and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative work style.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently.
A passion for resident-centered care and a commitment to continuous learning.
