Job Summary and Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As our Medical Assistant you will assist the nursing clinicians and the physicians in providing primary medical care to patients. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Take the next step in your career.

Your tasks and responsibilities may include:

• You will assist patients as necessary and accurately documents the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner.

• You will apply basic knowledge of conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for the specific adult and geriatric patient.

• You will accurately assess and record vital signs, height, weight and I & O, and reviews charts.

• You will record all variations from normal and reports to RN.

• You will prepare exam rooms and assure cleanliness after each patient visit.

• You will perform blood draws according to standard practices and procedures.

• You will perform EKGs according to standard practice and procedures.

• You will assist with exams and procedures as requested by clinicians.

• You willassists with patient registration, and scheduling appointments within and outside the center as necessary.

• You will perform other clerical duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Minimum of one year related experience.

• CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Certification in State of Florida or Certification as a Medical Assistant

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
