University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition clinical practice.
The Department of Pediatrics is a thriving academic department. Children are cared for at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, opened in 2011, and its associated outpatient clinics. Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is the specialty focused on the evaluation and care of patients with diseases of the intestine, colon, liver and pancreas. Common concerns are abdominal pain, poor weight gain, heartburn, and constipation. Our Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition division includes 6 physicians and 2 experienced PNPs. We all enjoy our work, and each other.
In This Role, You Will:
Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients with GI disorders.
Have outpatient responsibilities at the M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital and M Health Fairview Pediatric Specialty Clinics in Minneapolis and through out the metro.
Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose GI disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients and families about GI disorders, prevention strategies, and treatment options.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and social workers to optimize patient care outcomes.
Spend the first few months observing with providers in our division to learn Pediatric GI. We will develop an educational plan for you.

We’re Looking For a PA or PNP Who Is:
A graduate of an accredited Physician
Eligible or certified through NCCPA, ANCC, PNCB or AANP.
Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (PNP’s).
Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
Assistant or formal Pediatric Nurse Practitioner training program

The full-time salary range is $125,759 - $155,660 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
