Job Summary and Qualifications
At Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Cardiac Stepdown Nurses are responsible for providing care to post cardiac surgery, valve repair, chest pains, coronary artery, cardio thoracic surgery, and telemetry patients. In addition to providing a comforting, safe and healing environment for patients and their families, you will also perform and document care for all admissions and patients. We are an amazing, hardworking team who is looking for a phenomenal addition like you!
- You will administer all medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
- Our staff is required to acquire and maintain current knowledge pertinent to nursing practice in Critical Care
- Your role initiates and documents patient teaching and discharge planning including family and/or significant other in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
- The weekender shift window is from 7:00pm Friday to 7:00am Monday
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
