A premier skilled nursing facility in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our dedicated nursing team. We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our leadership team and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents.

Position Overview
As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the facility, manage nursing staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Your leadership will drive the delivery of exceptional patient care while fostering a positive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage the nursing team, ensuring high standards of clinical practice.
Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including infection control and quality assurance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize resident care.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training to maintain a well-functioning nursing department.
Monitor and assess quality of care metrics and implement improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a current New York State license.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including supervisory/management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to drive a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
