Be the Infection Preventionist you always wanted to be

• Direct the managerial functions of our Infection Control Program

• Assure compliance with CMS, TJC, CDC, OSHA, and other federal and state standards and guidelines.

• Analyze hospital infection data to identify trends, clusters, risk factors and variances.

• Manage hospital policies consistent with applicable infection control guidelines and standards.

• Perform surveillance, analysis, and reporting of hospital-acquired infections.

• Educate staff on infection control protocols.

• Serve as a knowledgeable and available resource on infection control practices and policies.

• Develop and maintain infection control standards meeting regulatory guidelines.Qualifications

• License or Certification:

o Valid RN license as required by state regulation

• Education and Experience:

- Completed post-secondary education in nursing
- 1 year experience in a clinical setting in field of practice.
- Preferred: CIC Certification.
- Training in infection control and/or epidemiology.
- Preferred: experience in hospital infection control practice.

• Effective communication skills in both written and verbal forms.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.

• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, or nights as needed.The Encompass Health Way
