Job Description Summary
The Sleep Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting patients with sleep-related issues, providing education, resources, and personalized plans to improve sleep quality. This position involves the support of patients under the current care of the sleep medicine providers. A normal day would be supporting the sleep provider in clinic or providing care via telemedicine. Clinic tasks include intaking of patients, preparing rooms for patients, gathering of needed information for clinic visits and possible surgery, coordinating services during clinic visits, and much more! As a clinical care team member, you will become a highly knowledgeable resource in Sleep Medicine to support our patients in clinic and throughout their treatment plan.

Minimum Training and Education: A Bachelor's degree in nursing and three years experience as a registered nurse. Transplant nursing experience preferred. An ability to establish cooperative working relationships with diverse groups and individuals, medical staff and other health care disciplines. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide range of groups and individuals. Highly developed analytic skills, interpersonal skills and organization skills. Must have emotional/mental ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and during stressful or emergency situations. Must maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and confidentiality.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current South Carolina licensure or compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) is preferred.
