Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab Neuro/IR RN for our facility to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. What You Will Do In Your Role:
· You will assist in all aspects of the procedure except for the use of radiation producing equipment.
· You will be responsible for the maintenance and security of the department’s medication supply, monitoring of patients receiving conscious sedation, and keeping appropriate medical records relating to patient care.
· You will provide all imaging personnel with in-service education and training relating to patient care and patient care devices.
· You will actively communicate with physicians, nursing units, and family members concerning the patient’s well-being, exam status and care, and will perform appropriate patient teaching as needed.
· You will be responsible for on-call participation.
What qualifications you will need:
· One-year critical care experience is strongly required as well as previous radiology, Neuro IR/Cath Lab nursing experience.
· Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
· Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
· Current American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certification is required.
