The primary purpose of the LPN Supervisor is to provide nursing services in a skilled nursing unit or facility; may include supervision of nurse assistants, medication passes and treatments

Under new administration and nursing leadership, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee nursing operations for our night shift every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), ensuring compliance with regulations, facility policies, and delivering exceptional patient care. This role combines administrative, clinical, and supervisory duties, contributing to the overall success of the facility's nursing services.
🔹 Provide Exceptional Care – Administer medications, monitor residents’ conditions, and ensure care plans are up to date.
🔹 Lead & Support – Guide nursing assistants, foster a positive team culture, and assist with evaluations.
🔹 Stay Organized & Compliant – Maintain accurate documentation, follow safety and infection control procedures, and ensure facility policies are met.
🔹 Enhance Resident Well-Being – Oversee admission and discharge plans while ensuring a clean, safe environment.
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid, unencumbered Missouri license.
✅ Passion for Patient Care – Experience in long-term care or healthcare settings is a plus!
✅ Strong Leadership & Communication Skills – Ability to mentor staff and collaborate with a team.
✅ Commitment to Excellence – CPR certification required; PCC (PointClickCare) experience preferred.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to oversee the nursing staff and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of nursing practices, and the ability to manage both clinical and administrative responsibilities. This role is crucial in fostering a supportive environment for both patients and staff while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure quality patient care.
- Coordinate patient care activities, including assessments, treatments, and follow-up procedures.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations for nursing staff and provide ongoing training as needed.
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely manner to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities and staff performance.
Experience
Candidates should possess a robust background in nursing with experience in various clinical settings. Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in medical office environments.
- Proficiency in performing spinal taps and managing critical care situations.
- Knowledge of acute care practices, including pain management techniques.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is desirable.
- Strong understanding of physiology to inform patient assessments and interventions.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
