Registered Nurse PreOp/PACU at Bristol Ambulatory Surgery Center:

·The Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.

·May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.

·Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

Education:

·Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification:

·Registered Nurse with unrestricted TN license

·BLS Required

·Current ACLS certification

Required Experience:

·Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOp or PACU

·Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient

·Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation

·Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed

·Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
