RN/LPN Charge Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team. This role is ideal for an LPN or RN who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. The Charge Nurse will oversee the daily operations of the nursing unit, supervise staff, and ensure that patients receive the highest quality care in a safe, effective, and respectful environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff) to ensure optimal patient care.
Monitor and manage patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, physicians’ assistants, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure that the unit is in compliance with all healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Address patient and family concerns, providing education and support as needed.
Participate in staff education and development programs.
Handle patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in coordination with other departments.
Perform routine clinical tasks and document patient progress accurately in the electronic health records (EHR).
Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical situations.

Qualifications:

Active LPN or RN license in [NJ].
Minimum 1 years of nursing experience, preferably in a leadership or charge nurse role.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
CPR/BLS certification required (ACLS may be required based on unit).
