Responsibilities*
The Infusion Registered Nurse is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care, including patient education and the management of chemotherapy, biotherapy and immunotherapy administration.
The Registered Nurse (RN) supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family; assesses the needs of the patient undergoing infusion treatment; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; and teaches patients, families, orients colleagues and peers.
The RN administers injections, IV hydration, blood products, and chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, cell therapy and other treatments/supportive care as assigned.

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $40.18-$62.31/ hour
- Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour

Salary & Nursing Framework Level
This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*
A current license in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse
- year in the last (3) years experience administering chemotherapy and biotherapy in a pediatric setting
18 months in an acute pediatric setting or ambulatory care pediatric infusion setting in the last (3) years
APHON certification

Professional nursing certification (CPHON, BMTCN, or Infusion Certification preferred)
Ability to start peripheral IV access demonstrated by competent performance.
Work Schedule
Hours: Hours/Week: 0.9 FTE
Shift/Hours/Days: Day/ Evening Shift; Monday thru Friday with a possibility of weekend and holidays. Hours will vary, and flexibility is required.
Monday through Friday during infusion operating hours: 7:30a to 6:30p
Location: CW Mott Childrens Hospital/peds infusion area

Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
