Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Medical Assistant for full-time Days at the Metro Center Clinic!

The Medical Assistant will provide assistance to medical professionals with patient management, basic diagnostic tests and recordkeeping. Assistants are responsible for obtaining patient information and providing guidance on clinic procedures.

As aMedical Assistant, you will:

Create a positive experience by welcoming, assisting and educating clinic patients
Escorts patient to exam room and documents vitals, chief complaint, medication and allergies in patient chart.
Evaluates patient's status and make appropriate recommendations to the physician; documents in patient's chart
Preparing and maintaining patient files by obtaining personal and health information
Routinely maintains a safe and clean patient care work area to promote patient and visitor satisfaction.
Setting up and stocking examination and procedure rooms
Schedules all appointments, procedures and tests that DO NOT require a referral or authorization number

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Current Certified Medical Assistant Certification in the state of Tennessee
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program,
BLS Required at the time of hire
