Job Description:

Inpatient Wound and Ostomy Nurse

About the Job:

In collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer, Human Resources, and leaders from across the organization, creates an environment focused on workforce development, career advancement, retention, and a pathway for employees to flourish. Works to educate and expand opportunities for current and potential employees by providing educational guidance and career counseling.

What You’ll Do:

Surveillance of non-pressure wounds, patients with impaired skin integrity and patients at risk for impaired skin integrity.
Assists nursing personnel in the development of appropriate plan of care and documentation.
Surveillance of pressure ulcers both admitted with and hospital acquired.
Leads the Pressure Ulcer Prevention team in the reduction of hospital acquired pressure ulcers.
Provides education for patients, families, caregivers and staff specific to prevention measures and wound care.

Who You Are:

Graduate with a Bachelor’s in Nursing
Certified in Wound Care and Ostomy
Experienced with 3-5 years in relevant nursing experience, including Inpatient Wound Care experience
Microsoft Suite proficient
Preferably knowledgeable with Epic
