Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, ancillary and support staff, other departments, and patients/families. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities and specialized equipment. Good clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care. Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process. Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients.***UPMC offers a variety of flexible options ? in addition to traditional rotating/flexible shifts, special programs exist to work primarily night shifts or weekend shifts with a premium pay differential. UPMC Jameson is currently hiring a casual Professional Staff Nurse to support our 2200 Medical Surgical Unit. The 2200 Medical Surgical Unit is a 24-bed unit that provides care for a variety of patients with a focus on neurological and respiratory patients. We provide our Professional Staff Nurses with the opportunity to always be learning and improving. The staff in our 2200 Medical Surgical Unit support one another to create a supportive family-like atmosphere. This is a good unit for nurses to learn a variety of different skills to increase their knowledge base. We are looking for a candidate who is easy-going, adaptable, a team-player, and invested in their learning and development as a nurse! Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply!
