Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care on the assigned hospital unit. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy, mission and values of the hospital and the Department of Nursing and will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community. The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, coordinates the plan of care for assigned patients. The Staff RN participates in the performance improvement initiatives as directed.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for meeting Joint Commission standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and for appropriate resource management.

What qualifications you will need:

RN Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Current FL or Multistate Compact RN License (if multistate license, must change primary state of residence within 90 days)
BLS approved per policy
NRP
ACLS approved per policy within 6 months of hire
STABLE within 12 months
AWHONN FHMPP within 12 months
At least one year of relevant RN experience is required
