Emory Healthcare is currently seeking experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurses (RN) who have acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and have developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population. This individual:

Routinely use acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations
Deliver safe, dependable and effective care to a patient population independently utilizing the nursing process
Apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family
Communicate effectively and respectfully with the patient, the patient's family, and other members of the healthcare team
Document the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format (e.g. computer, clinical pathway, chart)
Utilize patient/family input and goals in planning plan of care
Evaluate patient's response to planned care and adjusts plan of care as appropriate.
Recognize needs and advocate for patient based on knowledge of condition
Recognize that cultural differences need to be considered in developing patient and family relationships (focus on identifying cultural norms)

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing 12 months of recent experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
24 months of Operating Room (OR) experience preferred.
Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
