The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center seeks a highly motivated full-time ACNP/AGACNP to work in the cardiothoracic ICU. Our unit is a 10-bed, closed ICU staffed by ACNPs/AGACNPs working in close collaboration with anesthesiology/critical care Attends to provide cutting-edge medical care.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical care to patients following coronary revascularization, valvular surgery, aortic reconstruction surgery, minimally invasive surgery, congenital heart surgery, heart/lung transplantation and ventricular assist device placement.
Perform bedside procedures within the scope of service
Participate in unit-based and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Must have MS in Nursing with 4 years of nursing-related experience
Must have ACNP or AGACNP board certification or be eligible for and have NYS licensure
Must have excellent communication skills, an innovative attitude and follow evidence-based practice while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team
All other duties as assigned
