UH 1 is UH’s beautiful specialty outpatient clinics and day-surgery center and UH 2 is the location for all of our primary care and women’s care clinics.

UH Lakewood Medical Center is located between Kansas City and Lee’s Summit, Missouri, offering residents of Eastern Jackson County access to a modern community hospital with a continuum of outpatient services designed to meet the needs of families. UH Lakewood specializes in high-risk maternal and child care, and serves as one of the few Kansas City metro area institutions accredited by The Joint Commission in Orthopedics and Palliative Care. It also is home to a 188-bed, fully accredited long-term care center.

UH Behavioral Health is the KC metro area’s largest, most comprehensive provider of mental health services. The Crossroads Building, located in Kansas City’s vibrant Crossroads Arts District, is its epicenter, providing a broad list of outpatient services. We also offer psychiatric inpatient care, and we deliver therapeutic services through our community outreach clinics. We are a leader in the Trauma-Informed Care Movement, and provide training, coaching and consulting to outside organizations.

Job Description

Serves as a professional nurse leader in coordinating the daily operation of assigned clinic and service line expert. Responsible for full staff management of assigned staff. Actively participates in departmental quality assessment and performance improvement programs, budgetary monitoring, staffing and the patient satisfaction/customer service activities. Ensures provision of quality care in the clinics and service line. Works under the direction of the Nursing leadership.

Minimum Requirements

BSN from an accredited nursing program or the equivalent in a combination of an ADN and relevant experience
One year of management experience required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong organizational skills required.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Outgoing person with high service orientation.
Sound judgment, sufficient to ensure the integrity of operations and to provide exemplary leadership in the development of teamwork among staff.
Considerable problem solving skills.
High degree of professionalism and personal presence.
Missouri nursing license as a registered professional nurse.
Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree
3 years experience in a Behavioral Health clinical services environment
