Job Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team! The Massachusetts General Hospital Emergency Department is a Level 1 Adult, Pediatric, Burn, and Trauma Center, dedicated to providing emergent/urgent nursing care to adult and pediatric patients. With 9 distinct clinical areas, including specialized areas for pediatrics and psychiatry, we serve a diverse patient population, exceeding 100,000 patient visits annually. Embedded within the Emergency Department, the Acute Psychiatry Service plays a pivotal role in delivering vital behavioral health care to both pediatric and adult patients, many of whom present with complex medical comorbidities. As a RN in this unique setting, you will provide essential support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises as well as emergency medicine patients, all in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. This position requires the ability to seamlessly transition between providing psychiatric nursing care and attending to emergency medicine patients. The successful candidate needs to be willing to cross-train and maintain proficiency in both areas of practice.
