Position: RN Unit Manager
Location: Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Queens, NY
Salary: $105,000 - $115,000 annually, based on experience

Are you a dedicated and compassionate RN with leadership experience? Join our team at Cypress Garden Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation as an RN Unit Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring top-quality care for our residents. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support and guide our nursing staff, making a positive impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the DON and ADON in managing the daily operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring team members adhere to their job responsibilities.
Review and address staff grievances, escalating concerns to the DON as needed.
Oversee staffing to ensure 24/7 nursing coverage, minimizing overtime and agency use.
Lead performance reviews, progressive counseling, and, when necessary, disciplinary actions.
Offer professional support to unit staff, fostering a collaborative and caring environment.
Participate in quality assurance, budgeting, and committee activities, ensuring continuous improvement in care delivery.
Take ownership of MDS completion and provide input on resident discharge plans in coordination with families and interdisciplinary teams.
Ensure residents and their families receive compassionate, personalized care in a supportive atmosphere.

Requirements:

Valid RN license in the State of New York
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
