Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1 Care

Location: Bloomingdale, IL

Job Type: Jan. 2025 fulltime

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a student in a [school/educational] setting. This month-long position has the potential for extension based on performance. The RN will need to accompany the student on the bus and must be comfortable with various medical tasks, including managing G-buttons, following seizure plans, and administering medication.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct, individualized nursing care to a student with specific medical needs.
Ride the school bus with the student to ensure continuous care and safety during transit.
Manage and maintain G-buttons, ensuring proper care and addressing any complications.
Implement and follow seizure management plans, including appropriate emergency responses.
Administer prescribed medications as per medical orders and school policies.
Monitor the student’s health and respond to any medical issues or emergencies that arise.
Communicate effectively with the student, parents, and school staff to ensure coordinated care.
Document all care provided, including medication administration, medical observations, and any incidents.
Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations regarding the student’s health information.
Qualifications:

Active RN licensure in MO.
Proven experience in k-12 school nursing setting or 1:1 care settings preferred.
Comfort and experience with G-buttons, seizure plans, and medication administration.
Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to ride the school bus with the student and provide care during transit.
Reliable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
