Interventional Radiology Nurse

Status/FTE: 0.6 FTE

Shift length: 10 hours

Start Time: 0700

Unit: Diagnostic Imaging

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2) ten-hour (10hr) shifts Monday through Friday. Saturday/Sunday: on-call only. One (1) summer and one (1) winter Holiday rotating schedule. On-call: 8 weekdays (defined as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in a 6-week schedule, and every 3rd weekend (defined as Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Unit specific additional qualifications:

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU/CC),
Experience in all Radiology/Diagnostic imaging modalities: Fluoro OR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and general Fluoroscopy required
Experience in the administration of Moderate Sedation
Experience in the recovery of post sedation patients required.

Required qualifications:

Current state RN License
Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
BLS
ACLS upon hire

Preferred qualifications:

BSN preferred,
Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and/or Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care preferred.
Critical thinking skills to anticipate and prevent deterioration in patient stability during and after procedures preferred.
Experience in assisting with set up of invasive lines such as Arterial Lines preferred.
PALS and pediatric sedation experience preferred.
