Helen DeVos Pediatric Plastic Surgery has an opening for a full time Registered Nurse Navigator. Our team features plastic surgeons, who have special expertise in craniofacial procedures, treat growing bodies that need repairs or reconstruction for a wide variety of reasons. Key parts of our program are the oral cleft clinic and our craniosynostosis clinic, which treat children with cleft lip and palate or craniosynostosis in one central location. To achieve the best results, we provide coordinated team solutions based on the individual needs of the child and his or her family, including making recommendations to parents, caregivers, medical providers and school staff.
About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of work
Responsible for providing quality education, follow-up and emotional support to the population and their families. Case manages the population throughout the inpatient and outpatient settings and measures outcomes to maximize continuity of care between the settings. Manages projects and programs related to clinical management, performing quality improvement activities to measure program processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
- Master's Degree Nursing Preferred
- 5 years of relevant experience previous nursing or CDE clinical experience Required
- Prior teaching with patients of all ages Preferred
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - State of Michigan Required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American required within first 90 days
