About the Position
The Mississippi State Department of Health, Southern Region, is seeking to fill one Support Care Professional II (Medical Aide) position at the Adams County Health Department in Natchez, MS The Support Care Professional II (Medical Aide) serves county health department clinics by performing duties approved for CNA, including blood draws, stocking supplies, assisting with medical procedures, cleaning exam rooms and other duties as assigned. This is a second-level Support Care position responsible for checking vital signs, height and weight as assigned; collecting and maintaining records; reporting on the condition of patients, etc. Clerical support and duties may also be expected.

To be successful a candidate should have excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills. Employees must prioritize work to meet deadlines and be an effective team player. Need to have knowledge of MSDH programs and use that knowledge effectively to assist clients and/or patients as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires High School Diploma or high school equivalency, and 1-2 years of experience. May require a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) designation.
