Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Description:

The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient. The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

The Stress Testing RN will provide cardiac testing and will need to be knowledgeable of EKG testing. Monitors patient hemodynamic status during stress testing. Safely & independently directs administration of medications during procedures according to standardized protocols and physician orders. Reviews patient history and risk stratification for stress testing to determine the appropriate level of supervision. This position is scheduled Monday - Friday. The patients on this unit are adults (18 and older).

In this position – you will:

Manage efficient flow of patients including screening and assessments Educate patients and families regarding treatment and medication instructions Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders

What qualifications you will need:FL RN Licensure, or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions) Associate’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing preferred Current BLS & ACLS Certifications (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) 1 year or more RN Acute care experience preferred

Lawnwood Hospital provides interventional and therapeutic care, including open-heart surgery. Lawnwood Hospital is a designated Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Physical Rehabilitation Center is CARF accredited. We are a Level II Trauma Center. We are verified by the American College of Surgeons. We offer a freestanding ER in Vero Beach. We provide emergency treatment for adults and children.
