The homemaker and companion will play an important role in helping the client maintain their independence and enjoy a comfortable, fulfilling lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Homemaking Duties:

Assist clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and organizing.
Help with meal planning, preparation, and serving, ensuring meals meet dietary requirements and preferences.
Run errands for clients, including grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other tasks as needed.
Ensure the client’s home is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Companionship Duties:

Provide emotional support and engage in friendly conversation to reduce loneliness and isolation.
Participate in activities such as reading, playing games, going for walks, or watching movies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings as needed.

Personal Care Assistance (PCA):

Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Help with mobility and transfer assistance, including getting in and out of bed, wheelchairs, or vehicles.
Provide medication reminders and assist with managing daily routines.
Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the supervisor or family members.

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients at all times.
Follow care plans and report on clients’ progress or concerns.
Build strong, trusting relationships with clients and their families.
Document services provided, noting any concerns or changes in the client’s condition.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in homemaking, companion, or personal care assistant roles is preferred, but not required.

Valid drivers license.
Must pass a criminal background check
