Intely@Sea is a five-day cruise out of Miami, Florida to the Bahamas, taking place May 9 – 13, 2022 in honor of Nursing Professionals Week! We are so excited to be a part of this celebration. It is going to be a trip to remember!
Joining us on the cruise will be prominent nursing professionals who are subject matter experts and leaders in the nursing world. Some of them will be teaching courses on board for CEU credits. Meet Larry DeHoyos
Larry DeHoyos, CPCS, PESC is a nationally certified Provider Credentialing Specialist. He holds a certification in Provider Enrollment and has over 22 years of experience as a medical staff professional. Larry has worked in the managed care space, within large university health systems, and in single specialty/multispecialty medical groups.
Larry is an active member of the National Association of Medical Staff Services, Director At Large for the Texas Society of Medical Staff Specialists, and a participating member of the California and Massachusetts Associations of Medical Staff Services. He has spoken nationally at industry conferences sponsored by McKnights Long Term Care News, Symplr’s Engage Series, and HCPro/Decision Health’s National Provider Enrollment Forums, in addition to various national, state, and local association meetings and annual conferences.

IntelyCare: What does Nursing Professionals Week mean to you?
Larry: “Nursing Professionals Week is a time to celebrate the hard work our caregivers provide to our loved ones.”
IntelyCare: What does education mean to you?
Larry: “As an industry educator, I believe that education supports successful career development. I also think that it is about gaining knowledge about any subject.”
IntelyCare: What do you think everyone should understand about what it means to be a nurse?
Larry: “As front-line staff, our nurses are some of the most flexible team members within a medical staff. They are grand problem solvers and are flexible caregivers.”
IntelyCare: What do you think every nurse should understand about the importance of self-care?
Larry: “Self-care is the catalyst to long term wellness. If you do not care for yourself, it can be difficult to appreciate the care for others.”
IntelyCare: What is the name of your Intely@Sea course?
Larry: “Credentialing – the Importance of Maintaining Compliance in Your Profession.”
IntelyCare: What will your Intely@Sea course will cover?
Larry: “As a primer to our IntelyCare credentialing program, my session will discuss the importance of IntelyCare’s Credentialing program and how to help maintain compliance and not get caught off guard with expiring credentials or other requirements.”
