Kerry is a versatile educator with expertise in academic and hospital environments. She is a course instructor for university classes in BSN and MSN programs and her dedication to students received recognition with an Affiliate Faculty of the Year Award. In the hospital, Kerry’s innovative approach to quality improvement earned a Nightingale Luminary Award nomination and Clinical Nurse Educator of the Year Award. As a clinical instructor and nurse educator, she taught various nursing skills, including wound care, trach management, pressure injury prevention, code blue response, leadership, and critical thinking. For over a decade, Kerry was a certified AHA BLS and ACLS course instructor.
Clinically, Kerry worked as an ICU nurse at a regional Level I Trauma Center, where she cared for the most critically ill patients. She also has experience in neuro/trauma, oncology, and nursing informatics. With her expertise in healthcare technology, Kerry helped launch a successful hospital-wide implementation of a new Epic EHR system and also managed systems for reporting data to national cancer registries.
