- Developed and launched first fully online concept- and competency-based pre-licensure nursing program.

Experience
A nurse for more than 20 years, Rachel West is committed to creating the best education for nursing professionals. West believes that education is the foundation for individuals to reach their personal and professional goals. She loves learning and finding ways to make courses interesting, relatable, and timely. Building meaningful curriculum and helping others find their way to learning is what keeps her excited to get up and head to work every day.
West has held various roles over the span of her career. From the early days in the intensive care unit and then on to hospice, she has found ways to bring education to her work no matter the locale. After transitioning to academia full time and holding roles as professor, program director, and Assistant Dean, West understands the world of professional education inside and out. She has taught at the community college level to high school students in vocational training through post-graduate certificates both online and on-ground. As a first-generation college graduate, West is keenly aware of the value of education, and the substantive hurdles to achieving success in academic pursuits.
