Registered Nurse (RN) Psychiatric ED

General Summary of Position

Psych ED Unit Highlights

Busy specialized psychiatric emergency unit, located within the main medical ED
Treats pediatric and adult patients
Security has a strong partnership and presence with the unit and Baltimore County officer stationed with the Main ED
Staffed with psychiatric counselors and RNs
Cross-training to adult inpatient psychiatric and Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit provided

*Full Time Night Available: three 12-hour shifts & every 3rd weekend, 7p-7:30a

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred. 1 year of Psych ED or inpatient psychiatric RN experience strongly preferred.
Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
