The Clinical Service Line Lead will assume the responsibility of coordinating policies and procedures of the Perioperative Service in labor and Delivery, following Main Operating Room process. S/he will manage maintaining the Operating Room schedule in the Labor and Delivery unit, educating staff and maintaining OR equipment. S/he will work with the Nurse Manager to complete yearly staff evaluations. This position will function as the liaison between managers/specialty teams/anesthesia staff and medical staff. S/he will also perform core duties of a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
- Maintains Certification in Basic Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Electronic Fetal Monitoring.

- Demonstrate stewardship by thoughtful and responsible use of resources including maintaining a clean and hospitable environment, starting work on time, displaying a consciousness regarding costs, supplies and department finances.
- Facilitates the daily schedule with OB/Anesthesia teams to maintain efficiency and ensure on time starts and case turnover. Checking rooms when cases are completed and ensure the rooms are in order. Communicating changes in schedule and facilitating multidisciplinary teams as appropriate.
- Assist with Surgical Technician scheduling and coverage, working with the Main Operating Room for a smooth workflow.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, orientation process, performance reviews and discipline for staff
- Conducts morning and prn huddles.
Education:
▪ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (current and continuous enrollment in a BSN program with completion from an accredited school of nursing within 2 years is also acceptable)
▪ Five years previous RN experience required with 2-3 years’ experience in specialty field and general Operating Room procedures.
▪ Demonstrates clinical competency as an OR nurse in both the scrub and circulating roles.
▪ Performs with expertise in assigned specialty area.
▪ Demonstrated leadership experience charge or resource role
