Experience
Ayana is a health writer and registered nurse who loves creative writing. She combines both styles to create informative and approachable content. She enjoys the wide spectrum of work environments nursing offers. From adult inpatient psych to school nursing with kindergarteners, or from educating adolescents on sexual health to caring for elderly nuns, her work experience reflects her love of variety.
Throughout her nursing career, she witnessed staff burnout and sub-standard patient care stemming from a lack of clear and professional communication. She gladly applies her writing skills to foster this valuable trait between everyone in the nursing community, and within themselves.
In her spare time, she can be found painting, making jewelry, dancing, reading fiction, and going on nature walks.
